Bistro Byronz will open its second Baton Rouge location Thursday, Jan. 8, in the Willow Grove subdivision on Perkins Road. The new location is similar to the Mid City restaurant’s feel and atmosphere. The menu will also feature crowd favorites such as steak frites, chicken paillard and Abita-glazed pork chops.

Bistro Byronz will serve as the anchor restaurant for the Willow Grove development, which is headed by Richard Carmouche.

“It really is the perfect fit,” Carmouche says in a press release. He will join the ownership team with owner Emelie Alton and CEO/founder Mike Kantrow, who opened the first Baton Rouge Bistro Byronz almost a decade ago on Government Street. “We can now offer our city two convenient neighborhood restaurants that people can come to enjoy lunch, date night, an after-work cocktail or a school night family dinner,” Kantrow says in the release.

Alton says from day one, the team wanted to replicate the Mid City restaurant and maintain the core of what works at the original location. Bistro Byronz was the first announced business for the mixed-use commercial center called The Village at Willow Grove. Alton told 225 Dine last year that the new location would be slightly bigger than the Government Street restaurant.
